About Me

This is the story of that begins with a four-year-old, round-faced boy discovering a spinner rack of comic books for the first time at a drug store. That boy was me, and I instantly fell in love with the dynamic pictures and powerful stories of in those comic books. In that moment, I began a life-long love of design, creativity, and nerd-culture. Those goofy books helped to shape me into the person I am today, and I will forever be grateful for their influence on me.

I harnessed the lessons those books taught me and built a career as a graphic designer and illustrator which has lasted over twenty five years, but I came to realize that I was missing out on opportunities to tell stories and share information in other ways. As my professional career evolved away from retail design, I found myself really enjoying the work I was doing in the fields of education and outreach but I was began hitting the ceiling of how far I could advance. So, I formulated a plan and eventually received degrees in Website Design and Communications before ultimately receiving my Masters degree in Instructional Design and Technology.

Whether it is creating dynamic layouts or writing  course material, I enjoy the process of design. I’ve found that I especially enjoy creating e-learning which allows me to utilize my artistic skills to weave together multimedia and storytelling.

I live in Papillion, Nebraska and have four amazing kids.
